University Core Facility

The Humanities Lab designated as a Lund University Core Facility

The Vice chancellor has designated three major research infrastructures at the university as University Core Facilities, highlighting their strategic importance. These facilities, which include the Humanities Lab, Lund Nano Lab, and Lund Protein Production Platform, will receive a total of 37.5 million SEK over five years. The selection was based on criteria such as research excellence, accessibility, clear usage policies, and strong organization. The initiative stems from the university’s RQ20 evaluation, aiming to enhance long-term sustainability and clarity in funding opportunities. The appointment is valid from 2025 to 2029, with a possibility of extension after evaluation.

The external evaluators established that the "Humanities Lab is a unique facility".
