Språkbanken CLARIN and K-centre CLARIN-MULTISENS
The Humanities Lab is a node in the national infrastructure Språkbanken CLARIN (former Swe-CLARIN) and also a CLARIN K-centre (CLARIN-MULTISENS) and a CLARIN C-Centre.
As a CLARIN K-Centre, we offer specialized support and guidance on the use of cutting-edge multimodal and sensor-based methods, including EEG, eye-tracking, articulography, motion capture, and Biopac systems. We also provide tools, resources, and workflows encompassing information extraction, content classification, large language models, and converting from handwritten and/or spoken media into textual data. Whether your research involves cognitive processes, human interaction, or communication dynamics, we provide the tools and expertise to help you integrate these technologies into your work.
Our lab provides access to a wide range of high-tech equipment designed for a variety of research needs. The EEG system enables you to capture brain activity with precision, while eye-tracking allows you to study visual attention and gaze patterns in real time. Articulography provides valuable data on speech production and articulation, and our Biopac systems offer advanced physiological measurements, such as heart rate, muscle activity, and skin response. Additionally, our motion capture setup allows you to track full-body movements for studies on human interaction and gesture-based communication.
These technologies can be combined to study complex multimodal behaviors such as the interaction between speech, gestures, and gaze in dynamic settings. We offer full support to help you design and carry out your experiments, with access to both the equipment and expert advice tailored to your research needs.
Our facilities and equipment are available for booking by researchers with an ongoing project agreement. Let us know how we can help bring your research to the next level.
