ELAN

ELAN is a free annotation tool designed at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics (Nijmegen). It allows you to transcribe, annotate and visualize audio and video material for the analysis of speech, sign language and gestures. For example, you can analyze the precise alignment between gesture and speech, and you can analyze your data at multiple levels.

In this tutorial you will learn how to get started with ELAN, how to build a set up to transcribe, annotate video material, and how to export the annotations into a format suitable for subsequent analysis.
